The Mectronics Marine calibration facility near Newton Abbot has been set-up specifically for the determination of receiving loop antenna factors in accordance with IEEE 291 using updated measurement techniques. Current for the frequency range 5Hz to 30MHz.

Calibration of circular loops with electrical diameters of up to 1.2 metres and loops of all shapes up to 1.2 metres high or wide can currently be undertaken.
